An Epic Monstrosity

Everyone who is anyone in my world knew that Sunday March 6th, 2011 was bound to be an epically historical day in my life.

I had two tickets to see one of the most brilliantly theatrical entertainers known to our world in this day and age. I had two tickets to sit in the audience of a show that promised to bring the wild persona's out of everyone in attendance. I had two tickets to scream my little heart out and belt out lyrics that I listen to on the radio and my iPod every day. I had tickets to a ball. The Monster Ball. Gaga's Monster Ball.

If you read my post from Saturday that I published after 3am, excitement was taking over my body. I couldn't sleep. I could hardly function. I felt like I was 8 years old on Christmas Eve. Stoked!! I was so stoked to be going to her concert!!

I am completely aware that Gaga isn't liked by everyone. People have made their judgements based on the fact that she says things that are completely out of left field, the fact that she dresses light years beyond and behind her time and the fact that she simply isn't the norm. She's provocative. She's bizarre. She's taboo. She is (I am almost 100% certain) someone who everyone at some point in their life wishes or has wished that they could be, but is afraid to be. She is who she is and I commend her for that.

I have never in my life been to an event that people from so many different walks of life attended. Moms and Dads together with their children. Dads solo with their teenie bopper daughters and Moms solo with their teenie bopper sons. 80 year old Granny's and Grampy's out on a date night and 20 year old boyfriends and girlfriends still courting. Bi's, Gay's and Lesbian's. Bestfriends. Middle aged men and women. Literally every ethnicity and creed. It was amazing to see so many different people in attendance to watch someone that so many people claim to despise.

Gaga is a very open entertainer. Granted, yes, it may just be a show, but she did speak with a vast amount of sincerity and brought tears to the eyes of many around us. The stories that she told touched home with a lot of people exactly as her songs do and as crazy as it sounds to some, her sense of humour is quite charming.

She entertains with the message to be open and honest and bare yourself to the world. To love who you are, be who you are, and accept who you are. Why? Because you were born the way that you are. That's powerful.

I suggest, that if at any point in your life, you are given or have the opportunity to experience one of her concerts, that you absolutely do so. It is quite the monstrosity.

I proudly adore her.

The Monster Ball - Scotiabank Place, Saturday March 6th, 2011

The Scotiabank Place was packed solid - an estimated 12,000 fans in all of their glory attended

A Night In Leotard Heaven <3

I'm not sure that I can find the words to describe how amazing tonight was. Gaga was brilliant and I am so thankful to have experienced such an amazing show.

I can't wait to upload my pictures tomorrow when I get home from work so that I can share just how amazing she is with you.

Until tomorrow, sweet dreams, little monsters.

Lady Gaga, Whatev's.

So, I managed to get a few hours of sleep last night, or this morning, rather and I've spent my entire day nauseous with excitement.

Given that I am an over the top enthusiast, Normally I am exclamation mark happy; always doubling up on them to ensure that the thrill of what I am speaking about shines through. In this tiny post you will notice the lack of exclamation because I'm trying to stay calm.

Anyway, it's time for me to start getting ready because in just a few short hours I will be rocking out with the Lady.

Meh, no biggie.

I am going to be sick.

Can't Sleep, Can't Sleep, Can't sleep...

Here I am. Wide awake. Cant sleep. Why? Because all I can think about is seeing Gaga's concert tomorrow night. It starts at 8pm. I heard that she was an hour and a half late for her concert in T.O. on Thursday night. I'm hoping that she's not as late tomorrow.
How bizarre is it that I don't know what to wear to the concert? Given the fact that I don't dress like a maniac I am having a hard time with this. I suppose that I can just wear my normal garb.
I'm crossing my fingers that I don't have to sit beside a screaming (because I will scream enough for my entire section) 16 year old teeny-bopper or behind an overly excited person who can't sit down. I don't want to have to Poker Face. LOL@me.
I need to sleep. Dammit.

Cow-Hide Phenom

I don't normally watch television but when I do, I am watching HGTV, DIY or something along those lines. I crave seeing the way that people transform trash into something phenomenal. Something new and exciting. Since television really isn't my preferential cup of tea, I enjoy blog-hopping. Since everything on TV ends up on the web, I'd rather skip the commercials and click through a site on my own free will.

I stumbled upon (not via stumble upon) The V Spot and just had to share this work of art with you!!

Although I don't have animal prints in my home, I think that they are wild. If they are used in the right way and with the right accents, they can light up a room something fierce.

Case in point - you must check out this wicked cow-hide dresser that Vivienne from The V Spot masterfully created. Transformed from a Craig's List piece of ugly came this piece of art!!

Who would have thought that something so drab could be transformed into something so fab!?

Too rad!!
